CHANTEL'S
STUDIO 'MUMMY & ME' SHOOT
The story behind the shoot

I first came across Chantal through her very successful balloon business and her Instagram blog about her life as a business Mum.
Chantal’s little girl was due to start nursery and she wanted to be in front of the camera for a change, instead of behind it and capture some images of them together before their life changed again.

A peek behind the scenes
Chantal came to the studio in Churchdown for her photoshoot and brought along some toys and snacks for her little girl, just in case she got bored or lost interest.
The beauty in the ‘Mummy and Me’ mini shoots is that they are only half an hour, so it’s enough time to get beautiful images without toddlers losing interest too quickly.
She needn’t have worried. After about 5 minutes we had lots of smiles and giggles and, as Chantal was included in the shoot, too, she was able to tickle her and do the things that she knows make her happy.
We played some nursery rhymes and put on her favourite music so that she felt more comfortable in her surroundings and we got some really gorgeous shots of the two of them together.
As with my other shoots, although I didn’t ask them to get in to specific poses, I encouraged Chantal to sit in a certain place in the studio or pick her up/give her a kiss on the cheek etc.
